Orchard Road’s flooded walkway a horror

March 2nd, 2009 by yuxiang

It may be pleasant looking at the walkway between the main MRT station exit and Wisma Atria at Orchard when it’s sunny.

But think of it, when it comes to a rainy day, you may have difficulty walking through the walkway. The following photos are taken when the rain has gone to a nearly stop. The worse situation is when the rain’s bigger!

Flooded! This isn't the worse! 2

It’s flooded! All because the portion of the walkway is steeped down and has the lowest level of the walkway there thus rainwater will naturally gush onto that portion, thus creating a mini flood of above 1 cm.

Think of it again, it’s already months, and yet the management has done NOTHING. Walao, at least dig some holes for the water to sip into la. $#^$%^$%^

Oh wait. Think of it when tourists came to look upon this scene, ‘OMG, there’s a flood in Singapore, in town somemore!’
