I think is Taiwan copy Singapore leh!
Take a look at these two screenshot from the net…
The top one is Singapore 非常Superband first aired in 2006 on Mediacorp’s Channel U. It’s the official web portal for 非常Superband 2008 and also the design for the starting theme video.
The bottom one is 創作天團Superband, first aired this year, 2009, on Taiwan’s CTITV Channel 39 娛樂台. That is the exact opening theme video for their show.
The ‘S’ in the Superband logo looks exactly the same lah. Plus machiam the whole scene like copying of Mediacorp’s one just that change instruments, especially for the swing swing thing eh.
The format of the programming is about the same (Isn’t what Taiwan loves to do. Do you know one of the executive producer 沈玉琳 got into a legal issue when he tried to copy ‘Deal or no Deal’?) – with the elimination of one team out of the many until the finals.
And when I saw the credit rollover, I saw this…
Oh my, the opening animation is done none other by their own animation team. GASPS.
Did they buy the license over from Mediacorp? But they didn’t state after the credit roll of the origin of the program concept leh. Design copy, studio setup copy, even programming format copy. Even title machiam amended only.
Oei, Mediacorp, here’s your chance to get some IP copyright moolah back to your company. It’s very rare a Taiwanese production can copy our local one. Swee leh. It’s VERY RARE for our local variety to be copied anyway. LOL
Update: Starhub and M1 pricing info is out! Check it out here!
It’s often a headache whether you should go ahead to pre-order a phone when you don’t know anything about the phone price and their respective tariff plans pricing. Now with Apple iPhone 3GS coming to all three telcos in Singapore, it seems that M1 and Starhub are waiting for each other to finalise their tariff price plans for the gadget isn’t it?
But according to the CSO I’ve spoken to, preordering the phone simply meaning indicating your interest in the phone, and not submitting your details to mark down your two year contract with them. So go ahead and pre-order yea?
I’ll like to see many people carrying iPhone and making the device popular in Singapore and…not being a prestige owning iPhone for the users soon when even Aunties in the wet market start to use iPhone to do their shopping and developers decide to write an app for grocery prices comparison. LOL
On a side note, Singtel and Starhub have started their HTC HD2 pre-order taking. Same as iPhone, it wasn’t very clear what will be the price be but what’s sure is Singtel’s giving away a……uhm…16GB thumbdrive and the brand is yet unknown.
What I heard is that from the forums, there are people reporting a discount of $150 from the phone price when you preorder your HTC HD2! Is a 16GB thumbdrive attractive or $150 discount more attractive? You decide.
There isn’t a pre-order page from Starhub from their website but what i’m wondering more is…M1, where are you? Not gonna take in the HD2 ah?
I’m proud to announce after coding on the gallery, I decided to ditch the coding and proceed to a gallery solution LOL.
