I’m not an apple fan boy, nor an android fan boy. I used before Windows mobile and also still using now. I use android, I use both the macintosh and windows platform on desktop and also ubuntu on my iBook. Everytime people post about apple stuff, they somehow kena classified as apply fanboy.

But today, after deciding for a very long long time since last week, I took the plunge and joined the iPad wagon. There’re pros and cons but I hope iPad will grow in terms of the usability as time comes ( or else you will see me selling it again)

 –

I bought a 16GB with 3G model cause I wanna utilize my broadband sim card which I asked someone to cut it for me, for free.

And the charger below, it’s so small la. It’s like a mini version to my iBook power adapter. Will it explode like mine did or not ah?

First look:

I feel there’s more improvement to go after draining the battery for 7 whole hours since 8pm. There’s not too much exclusive apps for iPad but rather I had to download the iPhone versions cause let’s say, ebuddy is not ready for iPad yet.

Apps crashed here and there, even the native Youtube app. What’s going on I thought?

But overall it was a nice experience interacting with the interface using touch on this easy to use (noob also know how to use) operating system. What if Android or Windows mobile 7 is on this IPS screen. Hmm. Isn’t this worth the thought before many tablets start popping out with these OS next year?

Having eating pasta for years, neither did I try before pasta that’s being cooked or wrapped in paper until today when I was at the bloggers pasta tasting session at Suntec City, held in conjunction with Nuffnang, by Pizza Hut.

 –
 –

Two new flavourings has been introduced by Pizza Hut and they are the Char-grilled Chicken Parchment (Parchment actually means paper la hor?) and Spicy Seafood Parchment. Pizza Hut is known for pizzas duh, but have you tried their pastas? Some of the bloggers I talked to this evening mentioned when they come to Pizza Hut, they only have pizzas.

 –
 –

Now I’m gonna be truthful here, I prefer the Spicy Seafood Parchment to the Char-grilled Chicken one. I’ll tell you why in a moment.

 –
 –

Pasta wrapped in paper, as seen above.

When the pasta is served to the first table, I kept wondering what is that you know. Don’t know what they wrapped inside only to find out ah, it’s the new pasta they’re offering in the menu.

 –

It’s the creamy type of pasta which either gets you sick of it or love it. Pizza Hut does the sickening part away with bacons inside the pasta filled with char-grilled chicken and garlic. It was creamy and good, but a little bit more bits of the bacon would be better to enhance the taste.

Next up we have the Spicy Seafood one.

 –
 –

I fail to agree that it is spicy simply because I can tahan the spicyness (and go to the loo the next day every 10 minutes). This is my own preference cuz’ there are other bloggers around me who think it’s too spicy. Anyway, I love the prawns in it, QQ and fresh. Also served with mussels and squids in the tomato-based sauce, it’s for those who love seafood but feel like eating pasta in Pizza Hut.

I must say it’s a very interesting concept of wrapping pasta in paper cuz I’ve never seen it before in Singapore. I’m also surprised by their press kit which came wrapped in that paper also. Very creative. For what I think, hot or ice tea would be matching the pasta they’re offering in the new menu. I proposed to the marketing team that they should add in more spicyness to the Spicy Seafood one though. More more!

The two new pasta offerings will be available island wide today, when Pizza Hut opens its door and will be priced at $11.90 for the Char-grilled Chicken edition and $12.90 for the Spicy Seafood Parchment. Press release after the break.
