Having the Monopoly promotions certainly helps the sales of Mcdonalds. So are they earning? YES. Are they earning alot? YES. Disclaimer: Below is just an assumption based on customers-known facts and figures.
Based on the popularity of the promotion, the stickers will most probably ALL be issued before the end of the promotion period, that’s 2nd December 2009.
So based on the number of meals sold, let’s say one upgrades his/her meal. There’re a total of 8,670,000 stickers being printed. That means, there’ll be a total of 1.085 millions meals to be sold. Let’s say a customer buys the cheapest meal, that’s $6.40 a set. Round it off to $6. Mcdonalds’ will make a total earning of more than $6.5 million!
OMG. And it’s only a 2-month promotion. $6.5m in 2 months?! Singaporeans, this is the mere figure(of course it’s more than that) we are contributing to Mcdonalds’ portfolio. LOL
And OMG, I should stop eating already lah. Spending $15 daily on fast food is not feasible. I’d rather spend it on lottery. Easier chances right! =X
Let’s get fat from consumption of Mcdonalds. My office is MAD about this and here’s my daily updated collection of stickers on the Monopoly board. (Updated as on 24th Oct, 1153HRS)
